Event
The St. Patrick's Day 5K Run and Walk is scheduled for March 15, 2026 in Peterborough, ON. The course goes through downtown Peterborough and includes a section down the centre of traffic-free George Street. The event starts just outside the Peterborough Memorial Centre at Roger Neilson Way. The event raises money for Right To Heal and is chip timed, with results posted on Splitstiming.com.
Logistics and awards
Race day registration and race kit pick-up take place at PNC Pub & Grill. Parking and washrooms are available at the Memorial Centre. Participants will find face painting, water, coffee, hot chocolate, and bananas on site. Baby joggers are welcome; dogs are allowed on the course but are not permitted inside the Memorial Centre.
There is a 30-minute time limit to reach the halfway point at City Hall (2.5 km); participants who do not make it will be asked to turn back. Awards are presented at the PMC Bar & Grill and include Goodr sunglasses for age-group winners, top three male and female overall, top male and female in each age group (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+), a Best Costume Award, and free New Balance shoes for the top male and female.
Environmental measures for the event include no race t-shirts, package-free fruit snacks, no plastic water bottles or cups, no printed pamphlets, and encouragement to use reusable bottles and low-emission travel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
