NYRR Midnight Run
The NYRR Midnight Run is a New Year’s Eve road race in Central Park, Manhattan, New York. The course begins near the Naumburg Bandshell on West 72nd Street and covers 4 miles through the park. A fireworks display will illuminate the night sky as the new year begins and signal the start of the race.
This event serves as a qualifier for the NYRR 9+1 program; participants should have an active NYRR membership for the race to count toward guaranteed entry into the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon. Registration fees range from free to $74.02 and paid entries may be eligible for optional registration fee protection through a third party.
Race materials, including bibs with timing tags, must be picked up in advance at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street; there is no bib pickup in Central Park on race day. A clear bag policy applies for bag check; bags should be no larger than 17" wide by 20" high by 7" deep. The event will provide reusable hydration cups and encourages their return for cleaning and reuse.
Awards are presented onsite to the top three overall finishers in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age group awards can be claimed after the event. Accessibility accommodations, a member-only standby list for late entries, live unofficial tracking via the NYRR app, and official post-race results are available.
