NYRR Midnight Run
The NYRR Midnight Run is a year-end four mile race held in Central Park, Manhattan on December 31, 2026. The event takes place at night and includes a fireworks display that will illuminate the sky during the event.
The race is scored and offers awards on site for the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Runners who place in the top three of their age group can claim age-group awards in the days following the race. The event also serves as a 9+1 program qualifier for certain registration options and can count toward guaranteed entry into the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon for eligible entries.
Entry fees vary by registration category, from free options to a maximum listed fee of $74.02. The race is open to participants ages 8 and up. A winter accessory will be provided as the souvenir for this event.
Event operations note that race materials must be picked up in advance at the designated race center and that only clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep may be checked. Reusable hydration cups will be used at the finish area and are expected to be returned to designated receptacles. Live unofficial tracking is available through the event app and official results are published after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
