NYRR Midnight Run
The NYRR Midnight Run is a New Year’s Eve road race held in Central Park at the Naumburg Bandshell on West 72nd Street in Manhattan. The event features a timed, scored 4 miles course that begins with a countdown to the new year and a fireworks display at midnight.
The race is a qualifier for the NYRR 9+1 program and counts as a scored event. Participants receive a winter accessory as the event souvenir. Race numbers include timing tags and may be picked up in advance at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street.
Event services note that clear bags only will be accepted at bag check; bags no larger than 17 inches by 20 inches by 7 inches are recommended. Reusable hydration cups are available at the finish area and are expected to be returned to designated receptacles for cleaning and reuse. Live, unofficial runner tracking will be available in the NYRR app during the event, and official results will be posted after the race. Awards for the top three overall finishers will be presented on site in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions, and age-group award claim procedures are available after the event.
