Event overview
The 2025 NYPD Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 18, 2025 in Manhattan, New York City. It is the 23rd annual edition of the NYPD Memorial 5K and is presented by the NYPD Running Club. The event proceeds benefit the Metro New York Chapter of Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). A pre-race memorial service is held at the NYC Police Memorial Wall near the Battery Park City Esplanade and Liberty Street. The course begins at Liberty Street and West Street and finishes on West Street within a block of the start. The course is USATF certified.
Logistics, awards and virtual options
Registration includes an event t-shirt, a personalized bib and a 2025 memorial towel. In-person packet pickup is available at Midtown South Police Precinct, 357 W 35th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues), and at the Liberty Street area between South End Avenue and West Street on race day. Virtual bibs are shipped; the shipping window spans roughly one week before to one week after the event. Virtual participants may upload times and photos beginning May 18 through May 25. Live online and same-day finish-line photos are provided.
Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall, top law enforcement, top masters (40 and over), top law enforcement masters (40 and over), and top 3 in multiple age groups from 14 & under through 70+. There will be no duplication of awards; law-enforcement awards take precedence for registered officers except for overall winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
