NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K Benefiting CAMBA

The event is a 5K held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, that benefits CAMBA, a community organization serving tens of thousands of New Yorkers each year. The course covers just under one full loop of the park with a final sprint up Center Drive. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified.

The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is accessible via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. The race finishes on Center Drive, which returns participants to the Festival Area. Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter from AA to F; corral assignments are listed on the race bib and are controlled through the NYCRUNS Dashboard profile.

Amenities include bag check with a single clear bag requirement, portable bathrooms, water and electrolyte fluids on course and at the finish, and post race refreshments including bagels and fresh fruit. Race giveaways are a tech shirt and a finisher medal; shirts are available for pickup on race morning and sizes are not guaranteed. Race photos are provided by MarathonFoto and are claimable after the event.

Bibs are picked up in the Festival Area on race morning using a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs if registered early, and non-members can add mailed bibs for an additional fee subject to registration cutoff and U.S. mailing restrictions.

Handcycle and Wheelchair divisions are accommodated. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall by gun time and to the top three in each listed age group by net time. Policies include no strollers or dogs, potential disqualification for unsafe headphone use, and enforcement of course time limits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
