Event overview
The NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K Benefiting CAMBA takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The race distance is 5K. Registration includes an option to donate to CAMBA, a community organization that provides food assistance, housing support, workforce development, and college access programs.
Course and location
The course covers just under a full loop around Prospect Park with a final run up Center Drive. The course is USATF-certified. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and can be accessed via Center Drive or walking paths off Well House Drive. Start corrals are pace-based, labeled AA-F, and located on Well House Drive; corral assignments appear on the bib and can be updated via the participant dashboard.
Logistics and amenities
Race-day amenities include bag check (single clear bag required; provided if needed), portable bathrooms, hydration on course and at the finish, post-race refreshments including bagels and fruit, and swag distribution (a tech shirt and a finisher medal). Shirts are available on race day only and sizes are not guaranteed. Race photos are sent by email after the event.
Entry, results and policies
NYCRUNS members receive a 20% discount and may have bibs mailed at no extra cost if registered 20 or more days before the event; mailed bibs go to U.S. addresses only and shirts are not mailed. Results will be emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall by gun time, and to the top three in each age group by net time. The event follows a no-refunds, no-transfers policy; strollers and dogs are not allowed and time limits apply on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
