Course Details

The course consists of slightly less than one full loop around Prospect Park, finishing with a segment on Center Drive. The route is USATF-certified.

Amenities and Logistics

The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead, accessible via Center Drive or paths from Well House Drive. Bib pickup, gear check, bathrooms, and shirt distribution happen here. The race finishes on Center Drive, near the Festival Area. Participants receive a tech shirt and a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments include bagels, fresh fruit, and hydration. One complimentary race photo is provided. A pace-based start corral system (corrals AA-F) is used. Corral assignments are based on the pace listed in a runner's profile. Gear check requires a single clear bag.

Participation Details

Handcycle and wheelchair division athletes are welcome. They are asked to arrive at bib pickup 90 minutes before the start and be at the start line 30 minutes prior. Strollers and dogs are not permitted. The use of headphones may lead to disqualification if they hinder awareness. There is a no-refunds, no-transfers policy, though NYCRUNS members can withdraw for race credit.

Awards and Recognition

Overall awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary runners (by gun time). Age group awards are also presented. NYCRUNS members meeting specific time standards and other criteria are eligible for prize money and may qualify for the Local Elite Athlete Race Entry Program.

Getting There

The recommended way to reach the event is by mass transit. Nearby subway stops include the Prospect Park Station (S, Q trains) and the 15th St-Prospect Park Station (F, G trains).
