NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K - Prospect Park, Brooklyn
The NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K is a USATF certified road race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The course consists of just under one full loop around the park with a final sprint up Center Drive.
The event benefits CAMBA. Registrants may donate to support CAMBA programs that feed families, prevent homelessness, expand affordable and supportive housing, and provide college access and workforce development services. The organizer provides examples of donation impact at several levels, including packages of baby supplies, emergency food distribution, job training and college support.
Festival and race logistics are centered in the Nethermead, accessible via Center Drive or walking paths off Well House Drive. Start corrals are pace based (AA through F) and assigned on the bib; corrals are located on Well House Drive. Bag check, portable bathrooms, and on-course water are provided. Post race refreshments include water, electrolyte drink, fruit, and a bagel with spread. Every participant receives a race tech shirt on race day and a finisher medal at the finish. Race photos are available with one free image download per runner.
Bibs can be mailed to U.S. addresses if registration occurs 20 days or more before the race; otherwise bibs are available for pick up on race morning using a unique QR code. Handcycle and wheelchair divisions are supported with specific arrival instructions.
