NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K Benefiting CAMBA
The NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K is a measured, USATF-certified road race in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, held on April 11, 2027. The course covers just under one full loop of the park with a final sprint up Center Drive. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is accessible via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive; the finish on Center Drive returns runners to the Festival Area.
Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F); assignments appear on the bib and are based on the pace entered in the runner’s NYCRUNS Dashboard. Handcycle and Wheelchair divisions are included; athletes in those divisions are entered automatically when their account reflects the designation.
On-course and event amenities include bag check using a single clear bag provided if needed, portable bathrooms in the Festival Area and on course, post-race bagel options and a New York State apple, a participant tech shirt available on race day only, a finisher medal, and race photos distributed after the event through the race photographer. Bib pickup on race day requires a unique QR code; members may have bibs mailed under specified conditions.
Results are posted and emailed after the race. Awards are presented to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall and in standard age groups.
