NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K
The event is a 5K road race in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on April 11, 2027, organized to benefit CAMBA. The course covers just under a full loop of the park with a final sprint up Center Drive and is USATF certified. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and can be accessed via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. The race finishes on Center Drive near the Festival Area.
On-course and event amenities include a bag check that uses a single clear bag (18" x 24"), portable bathrooms, water stations, post-race refreshments including water, Gatorade, an apple, and a bagel with schmear, participant tech shirts distributed on race day, and a finisher medal. Race photos are available; each NYCRUNS event includes one free download and additional packages can be pre-purchased.
Bibs can be mailed to NYCRUNS members for free when registration occurs at least 20 days before the event and to U.S. addresses only; non-members may purchase bib mailing for a fee. If a bib is not mailed, it is available for pick up in the Festival Area on race morning using a unique QR code issued the week of the race. Mass transit is recommended; nearest subway stations are the B and Q at Prospect Park and the F and G at 15th St-Prospect Park. Parking is limited.
