NYCRUNS Frozen Penguin 5K
The event is a USATF certified 5K road race held in Central Park. The course starts near 89th Street on West Drive, heads south, turns at 72nd Street, continues north on East Drive, and finishes at the 102nd Street Crossing. A hydration station and bathrooms are located just before mile two, and medical assistance is available along the course.

Race logistics include a pace based start corral system with lettered corrals AA through F; corral assignment appears on the race bib and is based on the pace listed in the runner dashboard. Festival and race operations are centered at the 102nd Street Crossing adjacent to the North Meadow ballfields.
On site amenities include bag check with a single clear bag provided (18 x 24), bathrooms near start course and finish, water on course and water plus electrolytes at the finish, a participant singlet distributed on race day with sizes not guaranteed, a finisher medal, and postrace bagel options plus a New York State apple. Race photography includes a free downloadable image per entrant and optional discounted photo packages.
