NYCRUNS Frozen Bonsai 5K
The event is a USATF-certified 5K held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on March 6, 2027. The course is just under one full park loop and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is the location for bib pickup, shirt distribution, and bag check prior to the race.
Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter (AA through F); assignments appear on the race bib and are managed through the participant dashboard. The Start Corrals are located on Well House Drive.
On-course and event amenities include a single clear-bag bag check (18 x 24 provided if needed), portable bathrooms, water stations on course, and post-race refreshments such as water, Gatorade, fruit, and a bagel with schmear. Every participant receives a race tech shirt on race morning only and a finisher medal at the finish. Race photography is available; events include one free photo download and additional photo packages can be purchased. MarathonFoto hosts the race galleries.
Bibs may be mailed for a fee or mailed free to members when registration occurs at least 20 days before the event and to U.S. addresses only; shirts are not mailed. Handcycle and wheelchair divisions are accommodated and will be entered automatically when indicated on the participant profile. Results are emailed and posted online; awards are given to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers and to age group podiums by net time.
