NYCRUNS Frozen Bonsai 5K
The NYCRUNS Frozen Bonsai 5K is a road race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on March 6, 2027. The course is just under one full loop of the park and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. The course is USATF certified.
A festival area in the Nethermead serves as the race hub and is accessible via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter, AA through F, with corral locations on Well House Drive and assignments shown on participant bibs. Pace can be updated through the NYCRUNS Dashboard profile.
Oncourse and event amenities include bag check using a single clear bag (provided if needed, size 18 x 24), portable bathrooms, water on the course, and post race refreshments including water, Gatorade, an apple, and a bagel with schmear. Every participant receives a race tech shirt distributed on race day only and a finisher medal at the finish. Event photos include a free download option and additional photo packages are available.
Entry policies note member benefits such as a 10% discount and free bib mailing for active members. Bib mailing requires registration at least 20 days before the event and a U.S. mailing address; shirts are not mailed. Results are posted online and awards are given to top three male, female, and non binary overall finishers by gun time, plus age group awards by net time.
