NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon
The NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile looped race through Central Park in New York, scheduled for February 28, 2027. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF-certified. The event uses a pace-based corral system; start corrals are assigned by letter (AA-F) and noted on participant bibs.
Race-day services include bag check with a single clear bag provided if needed (18 x 24). Portable bathrooms will be available in the festival area and on course. Post-race food options listed by the organizer include bagels in several varieties and New York State apples. Every participant receives an official race tech shirt on race day; sizes are not guaranteed. Finishers receive a finisher medal, and race photos are delivered by email with options to purchase packages or download one free photo; photos are also available via MarathonFoto.
Bibs may be picked up in the festival area on race day with a unique QR code that is posted the week of the race on the NYCRUNS Dashboard and can be added to Apple Wallet. NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs at no cost; non-members can add mailed bibs for an additional fee if registration occurs at least 20 days before the event and the address is in the U.S.
Results are emailed and posted online after the race. Awards are given to the top three men, women and non-binary overall by gun time, and to top three in each listed age group by net/chip time. Registration closes the day before the race or earlier if capacity is reached. The event follows standard no-refund, no-transfer policies; members have withdrawal-for-credit options. Strollers and dogs are not allowed, earbuds may lead to disqualification if they hinder awareness, and celebratory confetti cannons are prohibited. All races have time limits and participants must remain on pace to receive course support and an official finish time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
