NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon
The event is a USATF certified half marathon covering 13.1 miles on a looped course around Central Park in New York City on February 28, 2027. Course details will be published closer to race day. The organizer uses a pace based start corral system with lettered corrals AA through F; corral assignments appear on the race bib and are based on the pace listed in a participant dashboard.
Logistics and on-site services include bag check with a single clear bag provided (18 x 24 inches), portable bathrooms in the festival area and on course, race day participant shirt distribution, a finisher medal at the finish line, and post race food options including bagels and New York State apples. Race photos are provided; eligible images are marked for free download and additional packages may be purchased. Bib mailing is available: NYCRUNS members receive free bib mailing while non-members may purchase mailing; mailed bibs require registration at least 20 days before the event and a U.S. mailing address. Bibs not mailed are available for pickup race morning and require a unique QR code.
Results will be emailed and posted online after the race. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and nonbinary overall finishers by gun time and to the top three in each listed age group by net chip time. The race serves as a qualifying event for the NYCRUNS Local Elite Athlete program under specific time and participation criteria.
