NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon
The event is a half marathon covering 13.1 miles on a looped course through Central Park. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified. Course details will be published closer to race day.
Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter (AA through F). Corral placement is determined by the pace listed in a runner's NYCRUNS Dashboard and can be updated there.
Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised to enter this race due to the high number of turns on the course; alternative NYCRUNS events such as the Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon or 5K races in Prospect Park or Central Park are suggested.
On-site amenities include bag check with a single clear bag provided if needed (18 x 24), portable bathrooms in the Festival Area and on course, a participant tech shirt distributed on race day only with sizes not guaranteed, a finisher medal at the finish, and event photographers positioned along the course, at the finish, and in the Festival Area. Photo galleries are emailed after the race and photos can also be searched on MarathonFoto.
Bibs are available for pick up in the Festival Area on race day with a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may receive bibs by mail and non-members can add mailed bibs for an additional fee if eligibility requirements are met.
Results are emailed and posted after the race. Awards are presented to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall by gun time, plus age group awards by net time for standard age brackets from 19 and under through 80 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
