The NYCRUNS Central Park Half Marathon takes place in Central Park, New York, NY on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The event is a half marathon distance and is presented as an annual race. Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter (AA-F); corral locations are on Well House Drive. Strollers and dogs are not allowed.
Course and logistics
The course begins on West Drive near 93rd Street, runs downtown, crosses the 72nd Street Transverse, turns uptown over Harlem Hill, and consists of two and a half loops of the park before finishing on the 102nd Street Transverse. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF-certified. The Festival Area for bib and shirt pick up and bag check is located by the 102nd Street Crossing next to the North Meadow ballfields by East Drive.
Amenities, bibs and directions
Race day bib pick-up and swag distribution occur in the Festival Area; bibs are only available on race day unless mailed. NYCRUNS will mail bibs to members at no cost or to non-members for an additional fee if registered 20 or more days before the event and to a U.S. mailing address. Bag check requires a single clear bag (NYCRUNS will supply one if needed). Portable bathrooms, on-course water and electrolyte fluids, finish-line cans of smartwater, post-race bagels and fruit, and one complimentary race photo are provided. Transit access is listed by nearby subway and bus stops for both the Festival Area and the Start. Parking is limited.
Results, awards and prize money
Results will be emailed and posted online. Overall awards are given to the top three male, female and non-binary finishers by gun time. Age-group awards (top three male, female and non-binary) use net/chip time across standard age brackets from 19 and under through 80 and over. Prize-money eligibility requires membership, verification rules, and time standards; prize payouts range from $1,000 for first place to $100 for sixth through tenth.
