NWR Cougar Chase 5K and Fun Run 2026
The NWR Cougar Chase is the fifth annual fundraiser for the Northwest Rankin High School cross country team. The event takes place at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi on July 25, 2026. Proceeds support the cross country team for uniforms, travel expenses, and equipment.
Event offerings include a timed 5K run on the school cross country course, a 5K walk along the same course, and an untimed 1 mile fun run intended for families and children. All participants receive a t-shirt. Age group awards are offered for both the 5K run and the 5K walk, including overall female and overall male, plus top female and top male in these age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Registration fees are listed for each entry type during the registration period. Children under 10 may run the 1 mile fun run without a fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
