Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Jackson, MS
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Jackson, Mississippi takes place on September 12, 2026 at 1250 Eastover Drive, Jackson, MS 39211, USA. The event is held to honor first responders, remember September 11, 2001, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This is the fifth annual edition in Jackson and all participants for the anniversary will receive a commemorative finisher coin.
The event is a timed 5K (3.1 miles) walk or run. Registration categories include adult, first responders and military, youth (13 to 17 years), and child (12 and under) with tiered registration fees. Online registration opens April 15, 2026; online entries may be available up to the start of the event. Registrants who register before August 24 are guaranteed a T-shirt; later registrants receive shirts as supplies last. Day-of registration is available the morning of the event with a late registration fee for most participants.
Packet pickup is available on race day and may include an early pickup option on Friday, September 11, most likely at The District. Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment; those without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted. Water will be available along the route and at the start/finish. An Emergency Medical Service team and radio communications will be on site. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising goals.
