Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Jackson, MS
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk takes place on September 12, 2026, at 1250 Eastover Drive, Jackson, MS 39211. This edition marks the event's fifth year in Jackson and honors first responders while raising funds for Tunnel to Towers programs. The distance for the event is 5K.
Registration categories and fees are: Adult $25, First Responders and Military $20, Youth (13 to 17) $10, and Child (12 and under) $5. Online registration remains open until the start of the event; on-site registration is available race morning with a $5 late registration fee for most registrants, exempting First Responders. Participants who register after August 24 are not guaranteed a shirt. All participants for the 5th anniversary will receive a commemorative finisher coin.
Packet pickup is available on race day and there may be early packet pickup on Friday, September 11, most likely at The District. Bibs must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment; participants without a bib will be asked to leave the course. Runners predicting a pace faster than six minute per mile will be seeded in the front corral.
The event is timed and includes simple award categories that emphasize firefighters, police, or military running in gear. Water is available along the route and at the start/finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are allowed. Personal items should be stored securely at the owner’s risk; the foundation is not responsible for loss.
Medical coverage is provided by an on-site Emergency Medical Service team with radio communication on course. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising goals. Donations are accepted for six weeks after the event and fundraising incentives for summer and fall events require completion by December 10, 2026.
