Nutty Runner 5k
The Nutty Runner 5k is a running event held in Fayetteville, Arkansas, starting and ending at the Columbus House Brewery. The event features a looped course where participants complete three laps of a 1.05 mile route. This is an open course, meaning the roads remain open to pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
Participants can choose between two main categories:
- Nutty Runner: This division involves running a total of 3 miles and consuming one pint of Nutty Runner Nut Brown Ale on the brewery patio after each of the three laps.
- Designated Driver: This division includes the full 3 mile run across the three loops but does not include the beer consumption during the race.
The course begins at the brewery, follows the trail to the mural, and continues through local streets including Willis Avenue, W Cleveland Street, Whitham Avenue, Taylor Street, and Douglas Street before returning to the brewery.
The event includes an after-party with food and vendors. All registered participants receive a post-race beer and a commemorative pint glass. The top male and female finishers in each category are eligible for gift card awards. Friendly dogs on short leashes and strollers are permitted. There is no parking available at the brewery; participants are directed to use nearby downtown lots, public parking at Wilson Park, or ride-share services.
