NSRF Woolly Mammoth 10K and 5K
The NSRF Woolly Mammoth is scheduled for January 2, 2027 at Veterans Pier in Brooklyn and serves as the first stop of the NYC Parks Winter Series. The event offers in-person races and a virtual participation option.

- 5K one loop out and back along the shore
- 10K two loops out and back along the shore
The course begins by running south with a U-turn at the 5K U-Turn sign. Wheelchair participants are welcome, though several tight 180 degree turns may make the course less suited to some wheelchair racers. The 10K has a cutoff time of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk from the start and finish, hydration provided at the finish line, and postrace refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Event gear includes a Woolly Mammoth tee and a finisher medal. Bib mailing is available for a fee of ten dollars if registered at least ten days in advance; in-person bib pickup is offered at the event.
Age group recognition is provided for overall top finishers and for the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 to 89, and 90 plus. Limited street parking is available on Bay Ridge Avenue and Shore Road; public transportation is encouraged. Live results and same-day finish line photos are provided online.
