Event overview
The event is a community 5K run held in December in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens. Distances offered include:

- Free Kiddie Dash
Participants receive a finisher ornament 'medal' and a race shirt. There are finisher medals only; additional award medals are not provided. Online age-group recognition is given to the top overall and to the top finisher in each age division from 14 & under through 90+. A virtual option is available: participants may compete remotely and have one week from the event start to log a time and upload up to five photos. Race items begin shipping on the first day of the event.
Course, logistics and amenities
The 5K is a USATF certified, one-loop course that starts and finishes near Queens Theater and passes the Unisphere twice and the Fountain of the Planets. Bathrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and finish; additional porta-johns are located near the finish line and an NYC Parks building on the east side of the course. Hydration is provided at the finish line. An informal bag-check area is available; race staff do not assume responsibility for personal items. Public parking is available at Queens Theater and Queens Museum. Food and drink are provided by event sponsors. One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
