'Twas the Night Before 5K - Flushing Meadows Corona Park
'Twas the Night Before 5K is a holiday-themed running event held on December 12, 2026 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. The event offers both an in-person 5K and a free Kiddie Dash, plus a virtual 5K option with a results upload window from December 12 to December 20. Registration includes a finisher "medal" ornament and a commemorative event shirt.
The certified USATF 5K course is one loop that passes the Unisphere twice and runs around the Fountain of the Planets, with the start and finish near the Queens Theater. Portable toilets are available within a short walk of the start and finish, and hydration is provided at the finish line. An informal bag check area is provided in the staging area.
Additional services include bib mailing for an extra fee if requested in advance, live online results and same-day finish line photos, and race day refreshments supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Parking is available near the Queens Museum on Meridian Road and participants are encouraged to consult local transportation resources for public transit options.
A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic events and athlete development.
