The Nostalgic 90's 5K & 5 Mile
The event is a running and walking event held in July 2026 at Forest Park in Queens, New York. It offers in-person and virtual options with distance choices for participants and provides a nostalgic tee and a finisher medal.
Distances include:
- 5K in-person and virtual
- 5 Mile in-person and virtual
Course formats are out-and-back loops: the 5K uses a short out-and-back plus a single longer out-and-back, and the 5 Mile runs two full out-and-back loops. Hydration is provided at the finish line. Bathrooms are located a few minutes walk from the start and finish. An informal bag check area will be available in the staging area. High quality refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Registration has fees and optional add-ons such as bib mailing; fees are non-refundable. Virtual participants have a window to log times and may upload up to five photos; virtual bibs are mailed before the event where available. Results are posted live online with same-day finish line photos and video. Age group recognition is awarded for top overall and multiple age categories by gender and non-binary division. A portion of event proceeds supports the Never Stop Running Foundation and donations to that foundation are collected. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
