NSRF Strawberry Fest 5K & 5M
A community road race held in Forest Park, Queens with in person and virtual participation options. The event offers two measured distances and a certified course layout with mapped turnarounds.
- 5K: Out and back with a 0.3 mile segment and one turnaround.
- 5 mile: Out and back repeated twice with mapped turnarounds.
Course notes state that runners must cross the finish line mats on each loop for accurate split times and synced finish photos. Restrooms are located a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and hydration is provided at the finish area. An informal bag check area is available in the staging area; the organizer does not assume responsibility for belongings.
High quality refreshments are provided by event sponsors All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A free kiddie fun run is part of the festival program. A virtual option allows participants to log a time and up to five photos from the first day of the event through the following week; event items begin shipping on the first day of the event.
Bibs can be mailed for a $10 fee if registered at least ten days in advance, or obtained in person on race day. Bib placement guidance requests the bib be worn mid torso, visible and secured at all four corners.
One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
