Strawberry Fest 5K & 5M Forest Park NSRF
Strawberry Fest is a community running event held in Forest Park in Queens, New York. The event offers two distance options and a separate free kiddie fun run. Refreshments are provided at the finish area by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water, and hydration is available at the finish line. A medal and tee are offered for the Strawberry Fest.
Course details are provided and the course is certified. The 5K follows an out and back pattern with a short initial segment then a second out and back. The 5 Miler consists of two out and back loops. Participants must pass through the finish-line mats on each loop to ensure accurate split times and synced finish-line photos.
Amenities include an informal bag check area in the staging zone and restrooms within a short walk of the start and finish. There is a virtual participation option with a week to log results and up to five photos; virtual participant items are mailed before the event with typical shipping delays noted for late signups.
Event fundraising supports the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises awareness, fosters community involvement, and supports athlete development.
