NSRF Strawberry Fest 5K & 5M
The event is a community road race held in Forest Park, Queens, near Woodhaven Blvd. and Forest Park Dr., Woodhaven, NY 11421. Two distance options are offered:
- 5K, out and back: 0.3 miles then out and back once.
- 5 Miler, out and back twice.
Both courses are described as certified. Runners must cross the finish mats on each loop for accurate split times and synced photos.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, restrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish. High quality refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a medal and event tee.
A virtual participation option is available; competitors have from the first day of the event plus a full week to log a time and up to five photos. Event items begin shipping the first day of the event. Bibs can be mailed for a $10 fee if registration occurs at least ten days before the event, or picked up in person shortly before the event.
There are no physical awards, but online standings will be posted and communicated by text or email across overall and age-group categories. One hundred percent of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development.
