Never Stop Running Foundation Strawberry Fest 5K & 5M
The Strawberry Fest 5K & 5M takes place at Forest Park in Queens, New York. The event features a rolling, scenic course on certified routes that pass through the park's landscape. Participants can choose between two primary distances, or opt for a short dash intended for children.
The available distances include:
- 5 km
- 5 miles
- Kiddie Fun Run
The 5 km course follows an out-and-back format, consisting of a 0.3-mile section followed by a single full out-and-back loop. The 5 mile course requires participants to complete the out-and-back loop twice. Runners in the longer distance must cross the timing mats for each loop to ensure accurate split times and photography synchronization.
Participants receive a themed medal and T-shirt. Amenities at the event site include an informal bag check area in the staging section and restrooms located within a short walking distance of the start and finish lines. Hydration and refreshments are provided at the finish line.
For those unable to attend in person, virtual registration options are available for both the 5 km and 5 mile distances. Virtual participants may record their times on any course, including treadmills or local tracks, and upload their results and photos online during the event week. All event donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports athletic and charitable initiatives.
