The Rainbow Run 5K Presented by NSRF 2027
The Rainbow Run 5K is a community running event presented by NSRF that raises awareness and support for LGBT+ youth mental health across Long Island. The event takes place at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York, with the course routed through areas of Merrick Lands and the park grounds. Eisenhower Park is described as a 930-acre public open space in Nassau County.
Amenities on race day include an informal bag check area, on-site bathrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish. Post-race refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Free finish line photos are offered and a Pride soft blend shirt is available as race gear.
The event offers an in-person option and a virtual option. Virtual participants have from the first day of the event and a full week to log their time and submit up to five photos. Race items for virtual entries begin shipping on the first day of the event; mailed bibs may take 3 to 5 days to arrive for late signups. A mailed bib option is available for a fee if registered at least 10 days in advance.
Awards are given for Top 1 F/M/X overall and Top 1 F/M/X in multiple age divisions including 14 and under through 90 plus. Registration is currently listed as not yet open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
