NSRF Presents The Rainbow Run 5K
The Rainbow Run 5K is a community run at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York, presented by NSRF. The event supports PFY, a division of Long Island Crisis Center; 100 percent of donations and a portion of proceeds benefit that program. PFY provides services and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and seeks to enhance health and wellness through education, supportive services, and personal development. The organization envisions equitable access to holistic health and wellness services.
Event amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Finish line photos are provided free. A 'PRIDE' soft blend tee is available. There is a virtual participation option; virtual participants have from the first day of the event plus one full week to log a time and up to five photos, and event items begin shipping the first day of the event.
Awards are given for Top 1 F/M/X overall and Top 1 F/M/X in multiple age divisions including 14 & under through 90+. Bib mailing is available for a fee if registration and mailing windows are met.
