Last Bash at the Beach 5K & 10K - Rockaway Beach Playground
The Last Bash at the Beach is a community running event held on September 6, 2026 at Rockaway Beach Playground, Far Rockaway, NY. The course runs on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk and is a certified route.
Distances:
- 5K out and back on the boardwalk.
- 10K run as two loops; runners must cross finish mats each loop for accurate splits.
In-person and virtual participation options are offered. Virtual entries may post times online for a specified window after the event. Bib mailing is available for an additional fee when requested in advance.
Amenities listed for the event include a race T-shirt, refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water, informal bag check, and hydration at the finish and turnaround. Public water fountains are available on the boardwalk about every quarter mile. Public restrooms are located within a few minutes' walk from the start and finish.
Parking on nearby streets is available and public transportation is encouraged. Results and age-group standings will be posted online and communicated to participants. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Donations made during registration support the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that funds youth, special needs, and athlete development programs.
