NSRF Last Bash at the Beach 5K & 10K
The event takes place on September 6, 2026 at Rockaway Beach Playground in Far Rockaway, NY. Races use a certified boardwalk route that follows the Rockaway Beach boardwalk and offers ocean views along the course.
Distances offered:
- 5K out and back on the boardwalk
- 10K two loops of the certified course
- Virtual 5K option with online time posting
- Virtual 10K option with online time posting
Course and on course services: the 5K is an out and back and the 10K is two loops. 10K participants must run through the finish mats on each loop for accurate split times and synced photos. Public water fountains are available on the boardwalk approximately every quarter mile, with an additional volunteer water stop at the 5K turnaround, and hydration provided at the finish. Public bathrooms are located within a few minutes walk of start and finish.
Event amenities include an informal bag check area, a beach tee for participants, and refreshments provided at the finish by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Nearby street parking is available and public transportation is encouraged. Registration includes in person and virtual options and a bib mailing service is available for an additional fee.
