Last Bash at the Beach 5K & 10K NSRF
The event is a boardwalk road race on Rockaway Beach in Far Rockaway, NY, held on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk and noted as a certified route. The course uses public boardwalk facilities and references Munsee Lenape and Canarsie lands.
Amenities include an informal bag check area in the staging zone, public bathrooms within a few minutes' walk at start and finish and on course, hydration at the finish and at the turnaround, and public water fountains on the boardwalk approximately every quarter mile. High quality refreshments and a race tee are provided; refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Race administration and results features include live online, email, and text results, same-day finish line photos and free video, and online age group standings. There are no physical awards; online recognition lists top overall finishers and top finishers by age groups (14 and under through 90+).
Bibs can be picked up in person starting one hour before the event; registering three weeks in advance allows a personalized bib. Bibs can be mailed for a fee if registered at least ten days before the race. Last-minute registrants within 24 hours receive bib numbers by text quickly.
Course notes: the 5K is out and back and the 10K is two loops. 10K runners must pass through the finish mats on each loop for accurate splits. Nearby street parking is available and public transportation is encouraged. A portion of proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation.
