Last Bash at the Beach 5K & 10K
The event is scheduled for September 6, 2026 at Rockaway Beach Playground, 7215 Beach Front Rd, Far Rockaway, NY. It is held rain or shine and offers in-person and virtual participation options.
The course uses the Rockaway Beach boardwalk and is described as a certified route. Course formats:
- 5K: Out and back on the boardwalk.
- 10K: Two loops; runners must run through finish-line mats each loop for accurate split times.
Participant amenities include an informal bag check area, public bathrooms near the start and finish and on course, and hydration at the finish and at the 5K turnaround. Public water fountains are available approximately every quarter mile on the boardwalk. Postrace refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A race tee is offered.
Registration offers in-person and virtual entries; virtual participation may take place 9/6 through 9/13. Bib mailing is available for a fee and requires registration at least 10 days in advance to receive the bib by mail. Nearby street parking is available and public transportation is encouraged.
Standings for age groups and overall placements will be posted online and sent by text or email. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
