NSRF Hip Hop Half Marathon & 5K - American Veterans Memorial Pier, Brooklyn
The event offers two main race distances along the shore at American Veterans Memorial Pier in Brooklyn with views of the Verrazzano bridge. It includes an in-person Half Marathon and a 5K, plus a free kiddie dash.
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K
The half marathon uses a four-loop course with aid and electrolyte stations available for half marathon runners. The 5K is an out-and-back route along the shore. Course support is provided for a 3 hours 15 minutes window. Wheelchair participants are welcome but the course includes several tight 180 degree turns that may limit suitability.
Race amenities listed include an informal bag check area, portable restrooms and nearby building bathrooms, hydration at the turnaround and finish, and refreshments supplied by event partners. Finishers receive a boombox style medal and a race tee. Pacers are available to guide half marathon runners.
Registration options include in-person and virtual entries for both distances, and a bib mailing service for an additional fee if requested at least ten days before the race. A portion of event proceeds and optional donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation. Public street parking is available on Bay Ridge Avenue and Shore Road and public transportation information is provided by NYC Parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
