About the race
The event at Forest Park in Queens offers two measured road-race options and a virtual entry option in January 2027. Runners can choose between a Frosty 5K or an Icy 5 Mile course, both run as out and back routes. The 5K includes a short initial out and back segment plus one full out and back loop; the 5 Mile consists of two full out and back loops.

Amenities include an informal bag check area in the staging zone, restrooms a short walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish line. Postrace refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Every participant receives a race shirt called a Frost tee. A free Kiddie Dash is held before the main races.
Bibs can be picked up in person near the event or mailed for a $10 fee if registration is completed at least ten days in advance. Virtual participants may record and submit a time during the event window and upload photos; mailed bibs and race items are available for virtual entries.
Age group recognition and overall awards are given, including top finishers in overall and multiple age brackets from 14 and under through 90 plus. The event supports the Never Stop Running Foundation and takes place on Munsee Lenape and Canarsie lands at Forest Park, Queens. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
