NSRF Frosty 5K & Icy 5 Mile

The event is the second stop of the NYC Parks Winter Series held in Forest Park, Queens on January 9, 2027. It offers two measured road race options and a free kids dash held before the main races. Participants receive a Frost-tee and finish-line hydration and light refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.

Amenities include an informal bag check area, restrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and same-day finish line photos and live online results. Street and metered parking are available near the park. There is a virtual option that allows registrants one week from the event start to log a time and upload up to five photos; virtual participants receive mailed bibs when race gear ships.

Course formats are out-and-back and the 5 mile course is certified. Runners must cross the finish mats on each loop for accurate split times and photos.

Online recognition is provided for top finishers by Female/Male/Other categories overall and in age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+.
