Frosty 5K & Icy 5 Mile NSRF Frosty
This event is the second stop of the NYC Parks Winter Series at Forest Park in Queens. It offers in-person and virtual participation options and includes a free Kiddie Dash. The location is Forest Park, Woodhaven Blvd. and Forest Park Dr., Woodhaven, NY 11421.
Distances:
- 5K: Out and back; 0.3 miles then one out-and-back loop.
- 5 Mile: Two out-and-back loops for full distance.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, restrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, finish-line hydration, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a FROST-TEE and race gear items; bibs can be mailed for a $10 fee if registered at least ten days before the event.
Virtual participants have the event start day plus one week to log a time and may upload up to five photos. Virtual bibs or mailed items begin shipping on the event day or when gear becomes available.
Age-group recognition is awarded to the top finisher (F/M/X) overall and to top finishers (F/M/X) in the following categories: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+. Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development.
