Event overview
The Forest Park Frosty event on January 10, 2026 is the second stop of the NYC Parks Winter Series. The event offers in-person and virtual options and features two distances:
- 5K
- 5 Mile
Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Course and competition
The 5K is an out-and-back route with one turnaround after an initial 0.3 mile out-and-back segment. The 5 Mile course is two out-and-back loops. The course is certified. Age-group recognition is offered for top finishers by female, male, and X (non-binary) categories and for standard age brackets from 14 & under up to 90+.
Logistics and amenities
The venue is Forest Park, Woodhaven Blvd. and Forest Park Dr., Woodhaven, NY 11421. Informal bag check will be available; restrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and finish. Hydration will be provided at the finish line. Race refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bibs may be mailed for a fee of $10 if registration occurs at least 10 days before the event; in-person bib pickup is available before the event. Registration fees are non-refundable.
