Frosty 5K & Icy 5 Mile NSRF 2027
Frosty 5K & Icy 5 Mile is the second stop of the NYC Parks Winter Series, scheduled for January 9, 2027 in Forest Park, Queens (Woodhaven Blvd. and Forest Park Dr., Woodhaven, NY 11421).

The event includes a race shirt described as a FROST-TEE and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Hydration is provided at the finish area and restrooms are located within a few minutes walk from the start and finish. An informal bag check area will be available; organizers do not assume responsibility for belongings.
Course details: the 5K follows an out and back format with an initial 0.3 mile segment followed by one out and back loop. The 5 Mile course is two out and back loops. The course is listed as certified. Participants who are not on the 5K course are asked to run through finish line mats on each loop for accurate split times and synced photos.
Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event. A virtual participation option is offered; virtual participants have from the event start day and one full week to log a time and may upload up to five photos. Bib mailing options are offered for a fee with timing and mailing windows noted by the organizer.
Age group recognition is awarded to top finishers overall and in age categories from 14 and under up to 90 plus. Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
