Day of the Dead 5K & Half Marathon
Day of the Dead 5K & Half Marathon takes place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes a free Kiddie Dash near the common finish line. Participation includes a Day of the Dead race shirt and a finisher medal.

- 5K, USATF certified, one loop
- Half Marathon, four laps of the certified 5K course, cutoff 3:15 hours
The 5K course is USATF certified and routes runners past the Unisphere twice and around the Fountain of the Planets, with start and finish near the Queens Theater. Half Marathon runners must cross the finish line at the end of each loop so split and finish times remain accurate. Hydration is provided at the finish line and bottled water and electrolytes are available on the course for Half Marathon runners only.
On-site amenities include porta‑johns, park bathrooms a short walk from start and finish, an informal bag check area, pacers to assist pacing goals, and postrace refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Virtual participants may upload times and up to five photos between October 25 and November 1. Donations support the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes athletic and community programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
