Day of the Dead 5K & Half Marathon
The Never Stop Running Foundation Day of the Dead event takes place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. This athletic event offers several participation options, including a 5K, a Half Marathon, and a Kiddie Dash for younger participants. The courses are USATF certified and lead participants through scenic areas of the park, including views of the Unisphere and the Fountain of the Planets.
The 5K course consists of a single loop, with the start line located on the north side of the Queens Theater. The Half Marathon requires four loops of the 5K course, and participants must stay under a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes. For the Half Marathon, the start line is situated on the south side of the Queens Theater. Pacers are available for both the 5K and Half Marathon distances to assist runners in meeting their goals.
Distances available at this event:
- 5K
- Half Marathon

Participants receive a themed t-shirt and a finisher medal. Refreshments and hydration are provided at the finish line, with dedicated water and electrolyte stations specifically for those running the Half Marathon. The event includes a costume contest where runners vote for the best attire.
