Norwegian Foot March & Trail Run
The Norwegian Foot March & Trail Run is an annual event presented by the Vessey Chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA). It takes place at the Arden Hills Army Training Site (AHATS) in Arden Hills, Minnesota, on April 18, 2026. The event combines a traditional 30-kilometer foot march with added trail-run options and community activities.
The event program includes packet pickup and a business expo with static displays the day before the main events, awards for top finishers and age-group leaders, and chip timing managed by Pickle Events with live results available during the event. Proceeds support the AUSA Troops of Tomorrow initiative, the Minnesota VA Food Pantry, and other military programs in Minnesota. Course maps and additional event details are provided by the organizers.
The Norwegian 30K foot march follows established standards for uniform and equipment. Requirements include wearing appropriate boots, carrying a ruck weighing at least 11 kilograms (24.3 pounds) that will be weighed at the finish, and having a personal water source of at least one quart at the start. Cold or wet weather gear may be carried but will not count toward ruck weight at the finish.
