Northwoods Mullet Trail Run
The Northwoods Mullet Trail Run takes place at Cedar Glades Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This event features two primary distances set on wooded trails, with options for participants to run either solo or accompanied by a dog. The course utilizes traditional trail miles and provides a loosely timed environment for all participants.
Available distances include:
- 25k (approximately 16 miles)
- 10k (approximately 6 miles)
A specific category exists for those running with dogs, though these spots are limited to 10 entries per distance. To ensure safety, dogs must remain on a leash and under the full control of their owners at all times. The event committee monitors animal behavior to maintain the comfort of all participants.
For those entering the 25k distance, a course cut-off is enforced at 12:00 PM. Participants must be able to complete the route within four hours due to rising temperatures throughout the morning. Children aged 12 and younger are permitted to participate but must remain with a parent, guardian, or sponsor for the duration of the run. First-place male and female finishers in the various categories receive unique awards.
