Lake Ouachita Vista Trail Endurance Run
The Run LOViT event takes place in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, hosted by the Mountain Harbor Resort. The course utilizes the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail, leading participants through the Ouachita National Forest. The terrain consists of rocky, rolling hills and ridge lines located along the southern rim of Lake Ouachita.
The event features two primary distances:
- 100 Mile
- 100 Kilometer
For the upcoming edition, the start, finish, and pre-race check-in are located at the East Cove Building. This facility is situated near the pavilion previously used for the event. The course is a technical trail that requires physical and mental preparation for the specific stresses of long-distance trail running.
Logistical support for participants includes designated aid stations, drop bag management, and the availability of pacers for certain portions of the event. The race is recognized as Trail Sisters Approved. Participants can access GPX course files and pre-race video information to assist with their preparation for the rugged conditions of the forest trails.
