Run Lovit : Hot Springs, Arkansas

Run Lovit is a trail endurance event held on the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail in the Ouachita National Forest near Hot Springs, Arkansas. The course follows out-and-back single-track sections along the southern rim of Lake Ouachita and includes rocky, rolling hills and ridgelines. The trail has received an IMBA Epic Trail designation.

Offered distances:

  • 100 Mile
  • 100k

The terrain is hilly with an average climb between 50 and 150 feet per mile and a surface of trail or dirt road with substantial rocks, roots, and ruts. The event uses multiple manned aid stations: 13 on the 100k course and 22 on the 100 mile course. Aid stations provide standard ultra food and fluids; runners with dietary restrictions should plan accordingly.

Runners must carry a water bottle or hydration pack and must carry a light source after dark. A backup light is strongly suggested. Pacers and safety runners are allowed in specified sections and must sign a waiver and be assigned a bib; rules govern where safety runners can be picked up or switched.

Drop bags are accepted for specified aid stations and must be labeled with the runner name, race number, and aid station. Uncollected items will be donated the week after the event.

Finishers receive event apparel and commemorative items: 100k finishers receive a medal and 100 mile finishers receive a custom finisher's buckle. Event proceeds support trail development and the local trail community through a nonprofit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
