Northumberland Turkey Trot, Cobourg ON
The event is scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2026 at YMCA Northumberland, 339 Elgin St W, Cobourg. It supports the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign and offers on-site and virtual participation options through the end of October.
The course begins at the YMCA and goes through the Cobourg Conservation Area. Most of the route is grass with uneven ground and small rolling hills. Bibs will be assigned at the event during check in.
Distances and options
- 5K timed run, double loop of the 2.5K
- 2.5K timed run or walk
- 1K Wing Ding kids fun run, untimed, kids medal
- Gobble Wobble activity for children 4 and under, free
- Choose Your Own Adventure virtual or self guided option
Additional details: finisher medals will be given to the first 400 registrants who participate in the 2.5K and 5K. Kids medals are limited to 150 participants. Awards include top finishers by gender in categories 18 and under and 19 plus, plus the Golden Drumstick Award for spirit.
Accessibility and rules: organizers invite participants who face barriers to request accommodations. Dogs on leash are allowed only in the start/finish area, not on the course. Strollers must stay off the course during running events; the 2.5K is suitable for carrying small children in a backpack or sling.
