Event overview
The Northumberland Run Forest Run is a trail running event held on forest trails in Northumberland on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Registration is through Race Roster, opens in 2026, and is limited to 100 participants. Early bird entry is $35 (January to April), regular $45 (May), and late $55 (June). T-shirts are available for $25 and must be ordered by April 24 to guarantee sizing.
Distances, course, and support
Distances offered:
- 3K loop (The Jenny) - 4-hour lap challenge
- 7.5K loop (The Lieutenant Dan) - one fast loop
- 9K loop (The Bubba) - one loop
- 24.6K total (The FULL GUMP) - combination of loops plus an out-and-back to Lookout Mtn
The course uses named trails such as Purple Finch, Black Oak, and Sweet Fern. Most trails are free from motorized vehicles, but some sections have vehicle access, for example toward the Lookout. Participants are expected to be self-supported; there are no marshals on course. Aid is available at the start area (Location 50 on the course map) and a water refill station is provided there. Participants should supply their own nutrition and water and may carry a cell phone or a sounding device for safety. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
