NorthowRun5 is a chip-timed 5 mile road race around Northowram, West Yorkshire, on an undulating one-lap course that includes views of the Calder Valley. Race headquarters are at Northowram Sports and Activity Club, Westercroft Lane, Northowram, HX3 7EN.
The organiser is Northowram Pumas Running Club. Entry is limited to 200 places. The event provides water stations, distance markers, toilets and changing facilities; there are no showers and no baggage storage. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, and dogs are not permitted.
There is a short presentation for age category winners after the race. All finishers receive a complimentary drink on presentation of their race number, and the bar will be open after the event. Portions of the event profits will be donated to Calder Valley Search and Rescue. Participants may order an optional bespoke technical finisher t-shirt; the t-shirt option is offered for an additional price.
Entry fees are specified by affiliation and t-shirt option: affiliated and unaffiliated tiers are available, with a higher price for entries that include a t-shirt. If places remain unsold, entry on the day is possible for an additional fee. The organiser allows transfer of places to another runner via the event entry system.
