Northern Beaches Triathlon Series - Race 5

Hosted by Warringah Triathlon Club and sponsored by SquareOne Physio, this club race takes place at Scenic Drive, Manly in the North Head area of Sydney Harbour National Park. The venue is noted for minimal traffic and flat, fast bike and run courses with coastal views.

Race services provided as part of the entry fee include electronic timing chips, course marshals, published segment results, refreshments, raffle prizes and a free barbecue for competitors, volunteers and supporters. Podium prizes and a series handicap award are offered; there are also lucky-draw prizes and club championship entry draws for members.

Key participant rules and notes: registration closes at midnight the Saturday before each race and there is no race day registration. Athletes may compete in up to two conducted club races before they must join both AusTriathlon and the club. Juniors under 14 on race day may only enter the Enticer. Athletes under 16 are classed as juniors; athletes over 60 receive a 50 percent discount. Series entry requires a minimum of four races and is available to AusTriathlon Standard or Premium adult members.

Approximate logistics: transition is closed before race start and it takes about 30 minutes to walk from transition to the Collins Beach start.

• Triathlon Sprint: 750 m swim, 2 km run, 21 km cycle, 5 km run
• Duathlon Enticer: 2.5 km run, 12 km cycle, 2.5 km run
• Duathlon Sprint: 2.5 km run, 21 km cycle, 5 km run
