About the race
The Northern Beaches Triathlon Series Race 3 is a club-organised triathlon and duathlon held at Scenic Drive, Manly (North Head, part of the Sydney Harbour National Park). The event is presented by Warringah Triathlon Club and includes electronically timed races with published segment results, course marshals, raffle prizes and refreshments included in the race fee.
Races use the North Head setting with minimal traffic and flat bike and run courses. Format options listed for the meeting:
- Triathlon Enticer: 375 m swim, 2 km run, 12 km cycle, 2.5 km run
- Triathlon Sprint: 750 m swim, 2 km run, 21 km cycle, 5 km run
- Duathlon Enticer: 2.5 km run, 12 km cycle, 2.5 km run
- Duathlon Sprint: 2.5 km run, 21 km cycle, 5 km run
Entry pricing varies by age and AusTriathlon membership status; examples include free entry for junior Standard AT members and set fees for adult members and non-members. Juniors under 14 on race day may only enter the Enticer. Series entry is available to adult Standard or Premium AusTriathlon members with a minimum of four races. Athletes may compete in up to two conducted-club races in a season before requiring AusTriathlon and club membership. Podium prizes, a series handicap award and lucky-draw prizes are part of the event. A free post-race barbecue is provided for competitors, volunteers and supporters.
