North Port July 4th 5k
The North Port July 4th 5k is a multi option running event held on July 4, 2026 at Wellen Park High School, 10801 Manasota Beach Rd, North Port, FL 34293. The event includes a chip timed 5K run, a non timed 1 mile fun walk, and a virtual 5K where participants enter their own results.
Distances:
- 3.1 Miles 5K run, chip timed.
- 1 Mile fun walk, not chip timed.
- 3.1 Miles virtual 5K, submit results remotely.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five year age groups and across categories including Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, and Veterans. Age group awards cover ranges from 12 and under up to 80 and above. All finishers receive a medal; the 1 mile walk awards a finisher towel.
Early registration fees start at $10.00 for in person events; the virtual 5K carries a different fee. Day of registration and a youth rate are listed separately. Registrations are online only and no cash is accepted. Registrations are non refundable and are treated as donations. Race shirts are not guaranteed after 6/13/2025.
Additional notes: the first 100 registered receive a pizza card, strollers are allowed in the run when started from the back, road and some sidewalk surfaces are used, and post race snacks are provided to bib holders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
