North Point State Park 5K Fun Run
The North Point State Park 5K is an athletic event held at the former site of Bay Shore Park in Sparrows Point, Maryland. This location was once a destination for Baltimore County residents for activities such as swimming and hiking. The course provides a flat, traffic-free environment along the waterfront, utilizing the park access roads for a loop that starts and ends at the rear parking lot.

Participants receive race T-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date of registration. The event features official timing to determine the winners. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as the first-place male and female finishers in each age group. Additionally, drawings are held based on race bib numbers, and winners must be present at the finish line to receive their prizes.
The event supports the Greater Dundalk Community Development Organization (GDCDO). This non-profit organization focuses on community engagement by providing housing assistance and supporting small businesses and local events. Refreshments and music are available at the conclusion of the activities. For safety reasons, vehicles must be parked in the designated rear lot prior to the start of the events.
