North Norfolk 50
The North Norfolk 50 is an Ultra Challenge event based at Cromer Hall Basecamp on the Norfolk coast. The main route is a roughly 55 km loop that follows the Weavers Way and Norfolk Coast Path, passing through National Trust estates, woodland and the town of North Walsham at about halfway. The route continues to the seaside village of Mundesley, which lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, before returning along coastal paths to Cromer.
Participants may walk, jog, or run and can choose from multiple challenge options offered at the event. Event facilities and support include marquee rest stops, food and drink supplied at regular intervals, medical and massage teams, and route signing with GPS tracking through the event app. Timing scans at rest stops record progress and a control room monitors participants.
Logistics and participant options listed for the event include transfers, shuttle buses to local train stations, camping, parking, a solo start option, an Ultra March option, and a Trailblazerz option. Rest stops are placed approximately every 12.5 km with larger provision about every 25 km. Finishers receive an event medal, a finisher T shirt, and a glass of fizz, and a hot meal is available as noted in the event information.
