North Lanarkshire Half Marathon
The North Lanarkshire Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 23 August 2026 at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell. The event is organised by North Lanarkshire Council and sponsored by Albert Bartlett.
Event choices include:
- Half Marathon, age 16+, chip timed
- 5K, age 12+, chip timed
- 1K, age 7+
- 400 metres, age 6+
- Toddler Dash, preschool ages 3 to 5
The half marathon and the 5K are officially chip timed, with start and finish points based at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility. Routes run within Motherwell and surrounding areas.
Entry for the half marathon includes fruit, water, cereal bars, hydration gels, a race T-shirt and a finisher medal. Participants in the shorter races also receive unique finisher medals.
Prizes are offered for first, second and third place finishers in male and female categories for ages 11-13, 14-15 and 16 plus.
The event day features family activities and support services such as bouncy castles, trampolines, face painting, Come and Try sports development classes, music and entertainment, food and merchandise stalls, and free massage therapy sessions for warm up and warm down.
