North Lanarkshire Half Marathon
Run NL hosts the North Lanarkshire Half Marathon, sponsored by Albert Bartlett, on Sunday 23 August 2026. The event includes a set of official races with age categories and chip timing for the Half Marathon and the 5K.
Available races:
- Half Marathon, ages 16+
- 5K, ages 12+
- 1K, ages 7+
- 400m, ages 6+
- Toddler Dash, preschool ages 3 to 5
Both the Half Marathon and the 5K have start and finish points at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and are officially chip timed. Route maps show courses that start and finish at Ravenscraig and pass key points through Motherwell and surrounding areas.
A Family Fun Zone runs throughout the day and lists bouncy castles, trampolines, face painting, and Come & Try sports sessions. The day also includes live music, additional entertainment, food vendors, refreshment stands, and merchandise stalls.
The entry fee for the Half Marathon includes a unique finisher medal, a Half Marathon T shirt, fruit, water, cereal bars, and hydration gels. Organisers offer a 10 week Half Marathon Preparation Programme to support training. Residents can check road closure and access information using their postcode for local event access details.
