North Fayette 5K
The North Fayette 5K is in its 31st year and is based at the North Fayette Community Center in Oakdale, PA (580 Donaldson Rd). The event program includes multiple distances:
- 5K
- Family Fun Walk, 1 mile
- Kids Run, 1 mile
The course begins and ends at the community center and follows Donaldson Road. The route rises to Donaldson Park, where participants complete a lap around the walking trail. The course therefore includes an uphill section to the park.
Pre-registration by July 25 guarantees a T shirt size; race day registration is also accepted. Registration fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $10 for each 1 mile event. Aid stations and water are provided at the midpoint and at the finish.
Awards for the 5K include prizes for the top male and top female finishers and for top finishers in age groups: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over. Kids Run awards for ages 10 and under go to the top three males and the top three females. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
