About the race
The North End Nightmare is a Halloween-themed road race held in Brockville, Ontario, with two distance options: 5 km and 10 km. Both races start and finish at the Soccer Clubhouse on Laurier Blvd and follow a counter-clockwise loop through local streets and the Memorial Centre area. The detailed route passes Laurier Blvd, Millwood Ave, Magedoma Blvd (Memorial Centre loop), Parkedale Ave and California Ave. The 5 km is one lap of this loop and the 10 km is two laps.
Registration fees are CAD 30 for the 5 km and CAD 35 for the 10 km. A club member discount of CAD 5 applies. Registration is handled online and a small processing fee applies. The regular registration deadline is October 29th, 2026 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
All ages are welcome. There is no Kids 1K this year while event organizers trial dual-race logistics with volunteers. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in categories to be determined. Costumes are encouraged and special prizes will be given for standout outfits, with a reminder that costumes should not restrict vision or create tripping hazards. Post-race refreshments and a costume showcase with awards are planned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
