Registration & Perks

Online registration closes July 10, with morning-of registration available. Early registration offers lower prices for both divisions. Registering by July 3 includes a free t-shirt. All registered participants receive a free admission ticket to the associated Scottish Festival. Beverages are provided after the race by the sponsor Ogdensburg Pepsi Cola Bottlers.

Kilt Requirement & Race Details

A kilt is required to participate. The required kilt must be tartan, have an apron front, and a pleated back. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m., and a bagpiper leads participants to the start line. The 5K route proceeds down County Route 6 through farmland and past historic stone houses built by Scottish settlers. The turn-around point is on the site of an 1830s Scottish stone home before looping back to the museum.

Prizes

Special prizes are awarded to the first female and male finishers in the adult and youth divisions. A grand prize drawing is held for the first 100 registrants in each division, with prizes including cash and a pizza package. Winners must be present.
