Event Overview
This event is the 15th annual Griffin run, organized by the North DeSoto Upper Elementary PTO. All proceeds are designated for purchasing equipment and supplies for the school. It takes place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at North Desoto High School in Stonewall, Louisiana.
Events and Course
The event offers two distances: a 5k run and a ½ mile fun run. Both events are confined to the North Desoto campus. The 5k starts on the NDHS track, and the half-mile fun run is run solely on that track, allowing spectators to watch from the stands.
Registration and Fees
Registration fees are tiered:
- Students aged 18 and under: $15.
- All other participants: $20 for early registration until March 13, $25 until March 25, and $30 on race day. The first 150 registrants receive a swag bag. A race shirt is only guaranteed for those who register by March 13.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on March 24 at Sportspectrum and on March 25 at the school. Race-day pickup starts at 3:30 p.m. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top two male and female finishers in each age group. A post-race party with refreshments is noted. The event follows RRCA regulations, permitting strollers and similar items only at a walking pace and prohibiting in-line skates, roller skates, and runners with baby strollers on the course.
