North Dakota State Fair Run the Route 5K
The event is a road 5K run along the North Dakota State Fair parade route in Minot, North Dakota. The course starts at Our Redeemers Church (South Hill Sports Complex) and finishes on Burdick Expy at the State Fair Gate E entrance. The advertised distance is 3.1 Miles.
Registration opens October 11, 2025. Online and race day registration options are listed, with race day packet pickup at Our Redeemers. Packet pick up is scheduled Friday, July 17 at Roosevelt Park Zoo from 4:30pm to 7:00pm and Saturday, July 18 at Our Redeemers from 7:30am to 8:30am. Parking will be available at the Our Redeemers Church parking lot. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to the start and from the finish.
Entry fees vary by age and by registration date: ages 13 and up were listed at $25 through June 30 and $30 in July; children 8 to 12 were listed at $15 through June 30 and $20 in July; children 7 and under are free. Participants who register by July 4 are guaranteed a Run the Route T-shirt. All finishers receive an admission ticket to the State Fair.
Awards include concert tickets and trophies for first through third place male and female finishers, plus small awards for top male and female in age categories Under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. A portion of proceeds will be donated to local children's running programs such as BIOGirls and Strides for Sunnyside. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
