Event Overview
The North Dakota State Fair Run the Route 5K is an annual running event held on July 18, 2026. The course follows the state fair parade route in Minot.
Distances
The event features a single 5K race.
Registration & Fees
Registration is available online until the morning of the event, with race-day registration also offered. Entry fees vary:
- Ages 13 and up: $25 until June 30, $30 in July.
- Children 8-12: $15 until June 30, $20 in July.
- Children 7 and under: Free.
Race Details
The race starts at Our Redeemers Church (South Hill Sports Complex) and finishes at Burdick Expressway at the State Fair Gate E entrance. Parking is available at the start location. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the start and from the finish line.
Packet pickup is available on Friday, July 17 at Roosevelt Park Zoo and on Saturday, July 18 at Our Redeemers.
Additional Information
Participants who register by July 4 are guaranteed a Run the Route T-shirt. All finishers receive an admission ticket to the North Dakota State Fair. Trophies and concert tickets are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with smaller awards for top finishers in various age categories.
