North Andover 4th of July Road Race
The North Andover Booster Club hosts the 46th North Andover 4th of July Road Race at the North Andover Town Common on Massachusetts Avenue. The event includes a USATF sanctioned and certified 5K and a separate Kids Fun Run held around the Old Center Common.

The 5K course begins on Massachusetts Avenue at the Andover Street rotary and proceeds through the Old Center. The route turns right at the fire station onto Johnson Street, continues up Johnson hill, then turns left onto Abbott Street and left onto Marbleridge Road for a downhill section. Runners turn left onto Salem Street, pass the cemetery, and follow Salem Street back toward the fire station. Before the fire station the course turns left onto Milk Street, then right onto Chestnut Street, right onto Andover Street, and left onto Osgood at the Old Center Common. The course goes around the Common and finishes near the North Andover Historical Society on Massachusetts Avenue.
Participant medals are issued to the first 1,000 finishers in the 5K and the first 200 Kids Fun Run finishers. Race shirts are provided to the first 600 race registrants and to the first 200 kids who pick up race packets in advance. Awards include top three male and female in the 5K and top male and female in the listed age groups. The event is scheduled for July 4, 2026 and is held rain or shine.
