Norman Cole Penistone 10K 2026
The Norman Cole Penistone 10K is a road race around the historic market town of Penistone, organised by Penistone Footpath Runners & AC. The race starts and finishes at Penistone Church Football Club and covers 10 km on an undulating, single-lap course.
The route includes a short loop through a residential estate, then follows quiet back roads toward the Pennine foothills. The course features a steep downhill section that leads onto the Trans Pennine Trail for the final 2.5 kilometres on a fast flat surface back to the football club. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities at the race headquarters include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers and baggage storage. Parking is limited. The event has a licence (Licence No 30785) and an entry limit of 308 places, with separate fees for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. Entry fees listed are £16.00 for affiliated runners and £18.00 for unaffiliated runners; if available, entry on the day carries an additional £2.00 charge.
