Norfolk VFD 5-Mile Road Race
The event is a scenic 5-mile out and back road race that starts and finishes at the Village Green in the center of Norfolk, across from the Norfolk Library. The course sends runners toward Dennis Hill before returning to the Village Green. Parking is available around the Village Green, in the center of Norfolk, or at the ball field on Mountain Road.
This Memorial Day tradition is held as the William F Kelley Memorial Road Race and serves as the sole fundraiser for the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department undergraduate scholarship program. All proceeds support Norfolk students.
Registration opens on April 28, 2026 and closes on May 22, 2026; the registration fee is $35. Bib and shirt pick up is available at the Village Green prior to the race and also on Sunday, May 7 at the Village Green. There will be no registration on race day.
A walking division is offered and walkers are not timed. Water stations are located along the route. A food truck, CJ's hot dog's, will be present at the Village Green on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
