Norbrook Farm Brewery Trail Festival
The festival takes place at Norbrook Farm Brewery in Colebrook, Connecticut and features trail running and mountain bike events on the brewery property. The program includes races and activities throughout the day, a local food truck, and access to Norbrook’s award winning beer for adults.
Distances and event types include:
- 4 Hour run
- 10K run
- 5K run
- Run and bike duathlon
- Mountain bike events with multiple race categories
Course information is provided for both disciplines. The run uses a 5K loop with mostly farm road type trails and generally runnable terrain; there is limited overlap with the mountain bike course. The mountain bike course is a 5 mile loop that uses eight trails, includes downhill single track sections, and records about 658 ft of climbing with a maximum elevation near 1,495 ft. GPX files are available for the run and bike loops.
Registration opens January 1. Entry fees vary by event and registration period; sample ranges include $60 to $80 for the 4 hour run, $40 to $50 for the 10K, $30 to $40 for the 5K, and $50 to $70 for the duathlon. Mountain bike fees vary by category and race length.
Event provisions and rules note that participants aged 21 and over receive one free beer ticket, finishers receive a Ragged Cuts medal, awards go to top three in each event, entries are nontransferable, and there are no refunds. Course safety guidance includes staying on the marked course, awareness of trail hazards, notifying marshals when withdrawing, no littering, and a strong recommendation to avoid personal music devices.
