Event overview
The Noonday Shanty 5K/10K is an annual road and trail running event held at Town Center at Cobb, Kennesaw, GA. Both race distances start and finish at the Town Center at Cobb Mall and use a paved course that runs along Noonday Creek Trail and adjacent roadways. The event features two USA Track & Field certified courses and serves as an official Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. Race proceeds support greenspace and trail projects in the Town Center area.
Distances, entries and logistics
- 5K : in-person and virtual; in-person eligible for awards; shirt included.
- 10K : in-person and virtual; in-person eligible for awards; shirt included.
- Wheelchair push-assist subcategories are available for both distances.
- A "ghost runner" option provides a shirt but is not eligible for awards.
Packet pickup is scheduled the Thursday before race day at Big Peach Running, 1625 Ridenour Boulevard, Kennesaw, GA. Team registration is available; all members of a team must register for the same distance. Free parking is available at Town Center at Cobb Mall near the start/finish area.
