Noonday Shanty 5K & 10K
The Noonday Shanty is a running event held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Town Center at Cobb in Kennesaw, GA. The event features two certified race distances run on a paved course that uses sections of the Noonday Creek Trail and adjacent roadways.
The event supports greenspace and trail projects in the Town Center area and benefits the Town Center Community Alliance. It is an official qualifying event for the Peachtree Road Race and uses USA Track & Field certified courses. The organizer offers in-person and virtual options as well as a ghost runner option and wheelchair push-assist categories.
Participants receive a shirt with registration. Team registration is available and medals are awarded to top finishers in race brackets for eligible in-person entries. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at Big Peach Running, 1625 Ridenour Boulevard, Kennesaw, GA 30152. The start and finish are located at Town Center at Cobb Mall; race day parking is available at the mall, with the start/finish area on the back side near Belk and the Varsity.
The course passes several local features and greenspaces, including Noonday Creek, Aviation Park, Cobb International Airport, Fifth Third Bank Stadium, and wetlands and bird habitat areas such as the Chimney Swift Tower. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
