Event Details

The 5K event begins with a New Year's Eve countdown. The course begins and ends at McAlpine Creek Park, using the park address at 8711 Monroe Rd. The course is certified and consists of a crushed gravel surface. It is a cross-country route with views of a lake and surrounding parkland.

Participants in the 5K receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race lunch and beverages. A "Go Green" registration option allows participants to opt out of receiving the shirt and medal. The event has sold out in previous years.

The Kids Dash is a short, flat sprint of approximately 0.20 to 0.25 miles on a crushed gravel path. Participants in the Kids Dash receive a finisher medal. Parents are permitted to accompany their children during the dash.
