The NOON Year's Eve 5K 2025 takes place on December 31, 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina at McAlpine Creek Park (8711 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212). The event is the third annual edition and includes a certified 5K and a short kids dash. Registration fees listed on the event page are $40 for the 5K and $14 for the Kids Dash. A bundle option called the New Year's Double pairs this event with the Charlotte New Year's Day 5K on January 1, 2026.
Course, awards and participant items
The 5K is a certified cross country course that begins and ends in McAlpine Creek Park and uses a crushed gravel surface. The course description notes scenic views of the lake and surrounding parkland. The kids dash is a short, flat sprint starting from the 5K start line; parents may accompany children. 5K participants are listed as receiving a long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal and post-race lunch and beverages. A "Go Green" option allows runners to opt out of a shirt and medal. Awards include overall and age-group prizes and a special award for the fastest last mile of 2025.
