Event overview

The NoCo Urban Ultra & Relay is scheduled for April 11-12, 2026. The route follows the Poudre River Trail through Fort Collins, Timnath, Windsor and Greeley. The event supports the Poudre Trail Authority and finishes with a post-race gathering at Island Grove in Greeley. All finishers receive a finisher medal; solo 50 and 100 mile finishers receive belt buckles.

Distances

  • 50 Mile - Solo and relay (teams of 2-4), point-to-point Bellvue to Greeley
  • 100 Mile - Solo and relay (teams of 2-8), staged two-day out-and-back

Race format and course details

The 50 mile course is point-to-point, starting in Bellvue and ending in Greeley via Fort Collins, Timnath and Windsor. The 100 mile race is an out-and-back staged over two days with a required overnight rest period at Vern's race campsite and no running allowed between 10 pm and 5 am. The 50 mile relay is divided into 12 legs of about 3 to 7 miles. The 100 mile relay is divided into 24 legs of about 3 to 7 miles. Day one cutoff for the 100 mile first 50 miles (Greeley to Bellvue) is 16 hours; day two cutoff for the return 50 miles is 15.5 hours.

Support and amenities

The course is supported with stocked aid stations, exchange zone stations, GPS and downloadable maps, and course directions. Relay exchange maps list each leg distance and elevation gain. Crews may assist ultra runners at exchange points, and pacers may join runners at the halfway point before starting day two. Post-race offerings include food, drinks, recovery areas and podium awards for top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
