Event Overview
The North Norfolk Beach Runners organize the Holt 10km, which starts and finishes on the grounds of Gresham's School in Holt. The event is held under UK Athletics rules.
The Route
The 10 km course is mostly flat and features a mix of open roads and trails through North Norfolk scenery. A water station is provided at the halfway point.
Key Information
Entry fees are £20 for affiliated runners and £22 for unaffiliated runners. The minimum age to participate is 16. Registration opens on the day of the event, and race numbers must be collected then. The race uses chip timing.
All finishers receive a medal and water. There are age group prize categories.
Facilities and Rules
Car parking is available on-site, with signs provided on the day. Portable toilets are located near the start and finish area. There are no changing facilities or an official bag drop, but the car park is nearby. An array of cakes and cold drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting a chosen charity.
For safety, the use of headphones, including bone conductors, is not permitted due to the course using open roads. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams, or pets. Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed in the school grounds but must remain with a spectator. First aid and medical cover are present at the start and finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
