NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run 2026
The fourth annual NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run is hosted by New Mexico State University Marketing and Communications on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Horseshoe on NMSU’s Las Cruces campus. The event features a newly designed route for both distances and includes community-focused elements such as a campus donation drive.
Available distances:
- 5K race
- 1 mile fun run
Registration and fees are published for each distance. Listed prices include a 5K entry fee of $25 and a 1 mile entry fee of $15; children ages 0 to 12 are free. Registration is nonrefundable. A day of registration carries an additional $5 fee. Transfer of a registration to another person or between the two distances is allowed within the same calendar year for a $5 transaction fee and must be completed by the day before the event. Selling registrations is not permitted.
Each registered runner receives an official race bib and a race medal. Race bibs must be worn visibly to ensure accurate timing. Early bib pickup is offered the day before the event and race day pickup is available; the first 200 participants who pick up Friday bibs receive free T shirts while supplies last.
The event includes a donation collection for the Aggie Cupboard accepting nonperishable food, toiletries, and monetary donations. Volunteer guides, maps, and additional event logistics are provided for staff and student volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
