About the race
The 2026 NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run is the fifth annual campus event hosted on College Drive between Skeen Hall and Gerald Thomas Hall on New Mexico State University’s Las Cruces campus. The event features a newly designed route for a 5K and a 1 mile fun run. Official race bibs and a race medal are included for each runner.
Registration details are provided for both online and day of registration. Online registration is encouraged and cash or check payments will not be accepted. Registration fees listed are 5K Race: $25 and 1 Mile Fun Run: $15, both plus taxes and processing fees; children ages 0–12 may participate for free. A day of registration carries a $5 fee increase. Processing fees and taxes are added at checkout and all registrants are subject to a nonrefundable policy.
Race bib pickup is available the day before from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Corbett Center Student Union Aggie Lounge, with free T shirts for the first 200 pickups that day while supplies last. Additional pickup is available on event morning at the pre-registered check in table under the large tent. Transfers between participants or race distances are permitted within the same calendar year if completed by the day before the event and are subject to a $5 transaction fee. Use of another participant’s bib is prohibited and may result in disqualification and a ban from future NMSU race events.
The event also includes volunteer opportunities for MarComm staff and student volunteers, downloadable volunteer guides, food vendors with some proceeds donated to charity, and a collection drive for the Aggie Cupboard to accept non perishable food items, toiletries, and monetary donations.
