NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run
The fourth annual NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Horseshoe on New Mexico State University’s Las Cruces campus (1075 North Horseshoe Street). The event is organized by NMSU’s Marketing and Communications department.
The program includes a newly designed route for two distances:
- 5K
- 1-mile fun run
Online registration is encouraged and cash or check payments will not be accepted. Published entry fees are: $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1-mile fun run; children ages 0–12 are free. A day-of registration increase of $5 applies. Processing fees applied by the registration platform will appear during checkout and taxes may be added.
The event is nonrefundable. Registrations may be transferred to another person or switched between distances within the same calendar year; transfers must be completed by the day before the event and carry a $5 transaction fee. Participants who use a bib not registered to them or who fail to follow race instructions will be disqualified; bib misuse can lead to a minimum two-year ban from NMSU race events.
Race bib pickup is available on the campus during the days before the event at designated locations. The first 200 participants to pick up their bibs on the primary pickup day receive a free T-shirt while supplies last.
The event will collect donations for the NMSU Aggie Cupboard, including non-perishable food, toiletries, and monetary gifts. Volunteer registration and guides are provided for MarComm staff and student volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
