Event Overview
The NM Viva Vino Run is a 5K run/walk event for participants aged 21 and older. It takes place in the village of Corrales, New Mexico.
Course and Schedule
The course is described as flat. It starts south of the Wells Fargo Bank on West La Entrada Road and finishes at Casa Vieja Brewery. Packet pickup is available the day before the event at a specified New Balance store in Albuquerque, with race-day registration and packet pickup available near the start line.
Participant Information
The event includes professional timing. The general race entry provides an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a commemorative wine glass, and one complimentary serving of wine at the finish line at Casa Vieja Brewery. Participants must show an ID at the brewery to receive the wine. Food trucks are available for participants and guests to purchase food.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various age groups. Results are posted online.
Rules and Logistics
The event has a no-refund policy. Bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn visibly on the front of the participant. Headphones are allowed for most participants, but not for those competing for prizes. Dogs, strollers, skateboards, rollerblades, and unauthorized bicycles are not permitted on the course. Parking is available in designated dirt lots (Anderson Lot and Gonzales Lot), not at the brewery or start area. Portable toilets are located near the start.
