Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K
The Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K is scheduled for May 31, 2027, in Sheridan, Illinois. The run starts and finishes at LaVerne W. Anderson American Legion Post 0729, with a route that runs along the village streets. The event is the seventh edition of the race.
The registration fee is $35 and includes race entry, the Legion's Memorial Day breakfast following the run, and an invitation to the Legion's Memorial Day ceremony, which will take place after breakfast. Race day registration is available.
Awards are presented to the top male and top female finishers, the top veteran, and to the top three male and female finishers in each of 14 age divisions: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over.
The event honors the memory of Nina LeCuyer. Net proceeds from this event and future editions will support someone in need from the community or the Illinois Veteran's Home. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
