A Nightmare Before Xmas Trail ½ Marathon is a single-day trail event on 20 December 2025, organised by Mad Running Junkies. Course and logistics
The course is described as mixed terrain. It includes a steep hill, a road section with views, a downhill forestry trail that can be technical, and later muddy and wet sections leading to a named steep finish hill called the "Hill of Doom". The course will be fully marked.
On-site provisions include car parking, toilet facilities, medical cover, volunteers, and hot and cold drinks and snacks. Seasonal items listed are mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas cake and Christmas crackers. A medal is provided for finishers. There is a prize for the most imaginative Christmas fancy dress costume; participants are expected to run in their costumes.
