The Nightmare Before Xmas Trail ½ Marathon is scheduled for 19 December 2026 at the Bridgend Miniature Railway Centre in Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend (CF32 9BZ). The event is organised by Mad Running Junkies. Entries open 25 December 2025 and close 18 December 2026. The minimum age to enter is 17 on the event date. Entry is limited to 70 participants. Entry fees listed are: Entry only £27.00 and Entry with t-shirt £55.00.

Course and facilities
The course is a mixed-terrain trail that includes a short section of the Hateful Eight 8-mile route and then about 5 further miles. Descriptions note a steep hill, a road section with views, a downhill forestry trail that can be technical, mud and water sections, and a final flat muddy mile to the finish. The course will be fully marked.
Facilities and inclusions listed are car parking, toilet facilities, a bespoke medal, hot and cold drinks and snacks, mince pies and Christmas cake, Christmas crackers, a medical team, and event volunteers. There is a prize for the best and most imaginative Christmas fancy dress. Participants may have the option to purchase XCover for possible refunds.
