Night Wolf 5K/10K : Kansas City, KS, July 31, 2026
The Night Wolf event is the fourth annual running of evening trail races at Wyandotte County Lake Park, organized by Wyco Wolfpack. The event offers a 5 km and a 10 km trail race, plus a combined double option totaling 15 km. Packet pickup and parking are at Shelter 2.
Trails use bridle paths rather than well-groomed mountain bike trails. Course conditions vary from dry to extreme mud and standing water in some years, so participants should expect changing footing. Reported elevation gain is approximately 500 ft or more for the 5 km and 650 ft or more for the 10 km. The 5 km is noted as family friendly and has served as an introduction to trail running for many young participants. The 10 km is run partly after sunset and the return portion of the 10 km will require a headlamp.
Awards are given to overall winners for the 5 km, the 10 km, and the combined 15 km, with separate male and female categories. There will also be a random prize drawing and light event swag. The event includes a post-race summer gathering with pizza and beverages provided. Registration closes on Wed, Jul 29 at 11:59 PM CT.
