Night Wolf 5K/10K
Night Wolf 5K/10K is the fourth annual trail race organized by Wyco Wolfpack in Kansas City, KS at Shelter 2, Wyandotte County Lake Park. The event offers two distances and a combined double option that covers both the 5k and the 10k in sequence, with the 5k run first and the 10k run in the opposite direction on the trails.
Courses follow older, established routes on bridle trails rather than well groomed mountain bike tracks. Trail conditions can vary and have included extreme mud and standing water in some years, so participants should expect variable terrain. Elevation gain is significant on both courses, with the 5k around 500 feet or more and the 10k around 650 feet or more. The 5k does not require a headlamp, while portions of the 10k will require a headlamp for running in darkness.

Parking and packet pickup are located at Shelter 2 and both races start at that location. Awards are given to overall winners for each race and for combined results by gender.
