Night Light : Urban Trail Series
Night Light is an evening trail run held on a Friday in October on the trails of Battle Creek in Saint Paul. The event offers both a one-lap and a two-lap option, and participants may walk, hike, or run at their own pace.
The course is entirely off pavement and follows grassy and dirt trails with a fair number of large climbs. The route is not lit, so participants are asked to bring a headlamp. One lap equals 5K; two laps equal 10K.
Online pre-registration is open through 10.24.2025, and day of registration and bib pick-up are available outside the Battle Creek Recreation Center at 75 Winthrop St S, Saint Paul, MN 55119. Registration includes race entry, an event pint glass for the first 100 registrants, a coupon for a food truck purchase, and a complimentary post race drink at Wabasha Brewing.
Prices vary by registration period. Rates begin at $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K, and rise through registration periods to day of rates of $50 for the 5K and $55 for the 10K.
Organizers may modify or cancel the race for severe weather, using the American College of Sports Medicine heat and humidity guidelines and information from the National Weather Service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
